How do I add external news (RSS, XML, or feed)?
You can show news from your own source on your TVs by using an RSS, XML, or feed link. Once added, the source appears by default in all playlists and TVs that use the News entertainment.
Important: managing external news sources is available on the Premium and Corporate plans.
Add a news source
- In the dashboard, go to Settings > External News.
- Choose a name for the news source.
- Enter the RSS, XML, or feed link.
- If you want, change the additional settings. They come with default values.
News from this source will then be shown, by default, in all of your playlists and TVs that use the News entertainment.
Choose the sources for a playlist
If you want to define which sources appear in a specific playlist:
- Open the playlist you want and enable editing.
- If the News entertainment is not yet in the Final List (in green), drag it there.
- Click the gray gear icon on the News entertainment.
- Select the sources that will be shown in this playlist.
Tip: external sources can significantly increase the TV's internet usage, depending on how many sources are selected. See the values in What is the network traffic of each entertainment on the TV?
