The app image appears cut off on the TV. What should I do?

A cut-off image is usually caused by a scaling or picture setting on the device connected to the TV, or on the TV itself. See below what to do in each case.

Windows PC connected to the TV

If you use a Windows PC connected to a TV, Windows may set the display to a scale larger than the default, which causes the app screen to be cut off.

  1. Right-click the Windows desktop.
  2. Choose Display settings.
  3. In the window that opens, go to the Scale option.
  4. Change it to 100%.
  5. Restart the computer.

TV picture settings

If that doesn't solve the problem, or if you use a different type of device, check in the TV settings whether the picture size is set to Auto Adjust, 16:9, or another option.

Auto Adjust is usually enough, but on some models you may need to try other options until the image fits the screen.

Android TV Box

Some Android TV Box models have a Zoom option that causes the image to be cut off on all edges of the screen. In this case, adjust the Zoom in the Android device settings.
