Why does my high-definition video play slowly or freeze on the TV?
When you upload a file, Adeus Pendrive optimises its resolution and bitrate without noticeably affecting the final quality. What does not change is the frame rate (fps) of the original file.
This is why, even at lower resolutions, the device that plays the video must support the fps of the uploaded file. If the fps is higher than the device supports, the video may play slowly or freeze.
What devices usually support
| Format | Resolution | Support |
|---|---|---|
| FullHD/30fps | 1920x1080 | Most current devices support it very well |
| 4K/60fps | 3840x2160 | Only some more powerful devices |
Even if you upload a 4K file, it can be played on devices that support FullHD, as long as the file's fps is within the limit supported by the device. In most cases, this standard is 30fps.
Tip: if your device supports a maximum of 30fps, upload videos of up to 30fps.
