What is the most important point of an image?

The most important point is the area of the image that you want to make sure appears on the TV. It is used when the image needs to be cropped to fill the screen.

How it works

  • When editing an image, on the File Preview tab, you have the option to select the most important point of the image.
  • If the Fill option is set to Fill the TV, the file is cropped (if necessary) based on this point, so that this area of the image is shown.
  • If you do not select any point, the most important point is the centre of the image by default.

For example: if the logo or the main product is near one of the edges, select it as the most important point so that it stays visible after cropping.

How to set the point

  1. Open the image and go to the File Preview tab.
  2. Use the option to select the most important point of the image.
  3. Check that the Fill option is set to Fill the TV.

Note: the most important point only makes a difference when the image is cropped, that is, with Fill the TV. With the Show Whole Image option, the image is shown without any cropping.
